About ROAC
ROAC is a coalition of people and organisations who aspire to increase the public profile and accessibility of radiation therapy, to ensure it is adequately funded by government.
ROAC members believe radiation therapy needs a broad, unified voice to government, which is why ROAC membership and collaboration opportunities are open to the whole radiation therapy community, including:
- Consumer advocates;
- Public Providers;
- Private Providers;
- Not-for-profits (including patient voices);
- Technical Experts; and
- Clinical Experts.
OUR PRIORITIES
ROAC’s current priorities are:
- Funding – ensuring government programs, including the Radiation Oncology Health Program Grants Scheme (and related programs) are appropriately funded by government, on terms which are financially reasonable and sustainable.
- MBS Schedule Implementation – Assisting government to smoothly implement the new radiation oncology MBS Schedule and ensure a timely and appropriate post-implementation review.
- Profile Raising – Raising the profile of radiation therapy and increase understanding of the value of radiation therapy amongst key government decision makers.
