Membership and Collaboration
Join the community that supports radiation oncology access
Why should I join ROAC?
Radiation therapy is an important and highly-effective cancer treatment.
Radiation therapy has a role in curing 40% of all cancers worldwide and also plays a significant role in prolonging life, relieving symptoms and pain management.
A wide variety of cancers can be treated using radiation therapy, including: bowel cancer, uterine cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer, prostate cancer, head and neck cancer and lung cancer.
Importantly, radiation therapy can also be used in conjunction with other treatment, such as surgery, to significantly reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
Join, Collaborate and Keep Updated
ROAC has a strong value proposition for government, but needs the voice of the whole RT community to be most effective, including but not limited to: consumer advocates, public providers, private providers, not-for-profits, technical experts and clinical experts.
Membership gives you the opportunity to help shape ROAC’s advocacy to government, and ultimately make positive policy change.
ROAC is interested in ensuring the voice of the whole radiation therapy community is heard by government, even non-members.
ROAC is also open to opportunities to support your or your organisation’s advocacy to improve patient access and outcomes.
